on 10 May 2021 in Events & Entertainment

Happening at the Capella Coveted Area this 6 May to 9 May 2021, the 2021 Capella Country Music Festival brings forth a four day long extravaganza that lights up the entire town of Emerald.

Featuring headline acts including the Godfather of Australian Country Music, Chad Morgan, who is also the lifetime achievement recipient of the Country Music Awards of Australia, as well as the crème de la crème of Aussie Country Music such as Roger Knox, Jeff Brown, Terry Gordon, Keith Jamieson, Pixie Jenkins, to name a few.

2021 brings forth new attractions that will give you life to this all-time favourite event. Beyond the traditional galaxy of stars who perform on the main stage, a whole range of new attractions are being introduced with the family in mind.

This truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity, to experience great music with a beautiful crowd in a magnificent town. An event not to be missed.

Admission is free for everyone on Thursday and Friday, with Saturday and Sunday costing $43 for a day pass (per day) with children under 14 years old granted free entry. There are discounts available for concession card holders.

CWA Ladies Friday dinner

Friday night features a hearty feast hosted by the Capella Country Women’s Association. Indulge in a beautifully hand cooked meal while embracing the talents on stage.

The walk up artist

Kicking off the festival will be the walk up artist program and the talent show during Friday’s CWA dinner.

If you are an aspiring country music artist that wants to break it into the big league, this is your chance to shine. The walk up artist program and talent show enables emerging country music talent all over Australia to put their name on the list and take the stage. The Country Music Community will be the judges of performances and the winner will be crowned the 2021 Capella Country Music Shooting Star, and will also get the chance to be included in the Festival’s main program on Saturday and Sunday. The excitement doesn’t end there, the winner also receives an exclusive one-on-one mentoring session from one of the Aussie Country Music legends to help kick start their career.

Food and drinks at the Capella Country Music Festival

The 2021 event is excited to announce its partnership with the Capella State Primary School and Capella State High School P&C teams for beverages such as coffee and tea.

With high foot traffic and popularity, the festival is known for attracting some of the most delicious food trucks around. A licensed bar will also be open from Friday afternoon through to Sunday, as a courtesy operation run by the Capella Cattledogs Rugby Union Club and the Capella Clydesdales Cricket Club, helping make sure you always have a drink at hand.

A romantic bush poet’s breakfast

In celebration of Mother’s Day, the Sunday program is dedicated to that special woman in your life mixed in with all things country.

Join mum at a Bush Poet’s breakfast with Gary Forgarty, known for cracking up tears of laughter followed by some good ole’ bush stories. After which, the headline acts of the festival spring back to the main stage.

Fun for the kids

With all the hustle and bustle of country music, it’s a sure thing the event hasn’t forgotten about the enjoyment of the kids.
